Since we had two vans, we did not always go to the same places. This time Sandra and BJ wanted to go to Poipu Beach while the rest of us drove to Waimea Canyon. |

The
girls had made a picnic lunch, some sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Then near the parking lot we spotted two Hawaiian geese, or ne'ne. They are considered vulnerable, not quite endangered or rare. So we were glad to have seen them. |
| On the way back we stopped at the Red Dirt Shirt shop to see how they turn perfectly nice T-shirts into the "must buy" item on the islands. That's real dirt they use in those converted washing machines. |

| From there it was on to the blow hole, some more souvenir shopping and a quick stop for some Hawaiian Shaved Ice. |

| After all the excitement there was still time for a quick hot-tubbie before dinner and another good night's rest. |
