Sharon and I drove down to southern California to spend a few days with Susan, Troy and their great kids. It was New Year's Eve when Mark and Kathy joined us for some fun in the spa.

After that, the real fun and noise began. Grandma B. and Troy outdid them all.

From that point on it was 'Old Lang Syne' as the party went to the dogs.

The following morning we drove to San Diego where we spent two nights at the Hilton on Mission Bay. We expected to check in early; however, it turned out we had to wait two hours before our rooms were ready. To compensate the manager gave us several coupons worth about eighty dollars towards our breakfasts. Meanwhile we had a late lunch and strolled around and along the beach.

During lunch someone asked the question about how long Ava's eyelashes were. Of course, she could have cared less and was more interested in her crayons and hamburger.

It was after sunset when we finally checked into our rooms. The kids watched some TV and then it was off to bed early. The next day was going to be busy with a visit to SeaWorld. See page 2.
