Amsterdam is where we arrived in the morning of August 14 and disembarked. To get off the ship and go through the usual procedures of collecting luggage, etc. was smooth. Our luggage is on wheels, easy to pull, so we simply walked to the train station along with several others. It is less than a mile along a nice waterfront. We were going to stay near Amsterdam for a few more days, but the details of that is another story. Let me just say that it was neat to be with our good friends Ine and Ton and see more of the country, thanks to them. Everyone knows that Holland is the country of bicycles, and we saw them everywhere; in Amsterdam, Haarlem, Zaandam, Hoorn and all the other places we visited during those few days.
