This year Dayton became interested in playing chess and quickly learned the various moves and techniques. Here he is at a tournament where he received his first medal.

Both boys love to explore the outdoors and hunt for bugs and creepy-crawly things like this fat slug. Birthday parties (such as the one for their cousin and aunt) are always fun. Brennen turned four this year and his favorite sport is to play soccer.

He is very proud of his trophy. Someday perhaps, Opa needs to make a display case for all these medals and trophies.

Meanwhile Ava keeps busy with other activities. For example, she goes all out for food.

She is very much into clothes, loves her facial creams (Eau de Lair) and is quite a fashionable lady with a sense of humor to boot.
