History of Hexcel

Note, we have a new addition of pictures thanks to -- oh, well you'll remember him with his big smile in the back row. He took these on the November, 2007 gathering. I took the liberty to crop a few with comments. Click here to see.

Once a month there is a gathering of several old faces. They are the people who made Hexcel famous in the aerospace materials arena back in the fifties, sixties and seventies. For years we worked together to invent, design, manufacture, sell and count beans. These, and several wonderful ladies (not shown in these shots) plus those no longer with us except in memory, are some of the people who made it all happen. They are the ones that made the company grow and prosper while having fun doing so. Now that we are retired we still have fun recalling the past and talking about other friends and all the stories that go with it.

The place is the Hick'ry Pit in Walnut Creek, California; every second Tuesday of the month.

Here are some faces but no names. For those who worked at Hexcel, have fun trying to figure out who is who. I show them here in no particular order, except I am last.

PS. Note the addition of more pictures of our friends. Some I had not seen for years!

Next some pictures of the November 2007 gathering at the Hick'ry Pit.

A couple of the fellows must have been talking about their recent golf score or maybe that the bill was too high. Others seem to enjoy the occasion as always. t

But wait, things are looking up as far as the bill goes. So it must have been a bad day at the golf course for our two buddies to the left. t

And here is one more recent addition to the Hexcel alumni:
