An interesting way to spruce up rooms and door ways is to use wood trim and molding. Most homes have very small baseboards and narrow, plain casings around door frames. The walls may be decorated with paint and pictures but that's it. Wood molding is available in a multitude of shapes and profiles, and with a little imagination a room or stairway can be changed with astonishing results. |
| Above are a few pictures of how we changed the living room, dining room and hall entry of one home. I have also changed a plain fireplace mantle into a decorative unit with some trim and crown molding, and used oak trim to make a mirror above a bed frame more interesting.
