Oregon Travels

Grandma B. and Opa drove up to visit Sandra, B.J. and our grandkids in August 2008. After all, there were two birthdays to celebrate, Brian became eight and Sandra the BIG 40.

We decided to combine the visit with a tour of the eastern side of Oregon going up and the coastal route going back. So, if you like to see more of that click the button above.
Meanwhile here are just a few pictures of Sandra and B.J. along with Brian, Katie and Emily.

They have a great tropical aquarium in the living room that is mesmerizing.

We arrived on a Saturday; then spent Sunday in Seattle with some rain and found the little house along Union Bay where I lived as a bachelor back in 1960. It was a great location; the place where I built my first kayak and had lots of fun.

The next day, Monday, had nice weather and while B.J. was at work, the six of us drove to Snoqualmie Falls, about twenty minutes from the Fox house. Near here is where I learned to snow ski back in the early sixties.

There is a trail to the bottom that goes through some beautiful green forest; we had to take some pictures. At the end is a platform where you can see the falls from below. However, some of us had to get a little closer for more scenic shots.
