| Winter is another beautiful time of the year to see Yosemite. Snow and freezing rain can create havoc in some places, but there is also a peaceful and serene feeling when you explore. |

| Water coming down Bridal Veil Falls turns into snow and upper Yosemite Falls is but a trickle that forms a snow-cone at its base. We have walked along snow-covered paths to visit Mirror Lake once more, had snowball fights, and then looked up again to see the mountains. |

| The animals seem more at ease or hungry enough to let us approach them. This coyote's ears perked up and seemed to ignore me because of its prey below the snow. His buddy, the raven, was ready to share anything mister coyote had found, while blue Stellar Jays would dive for peanuts left on a balcony railing. |
