Christmas 2006 with our whole family |
| To Family Page |
| Christmas in 2006 brought us all together at our house. It was noisy, it was rambunctious, but it was fun. We had grandma and both our daughters with their hubbies and children. We, Sharon and Jay, now have six grand kids: girl, girl and boy; then boy, boy and girl. Nice feat, Sandra and Susan! |

So let's have a closer look at what we did and all those presents everyone received at this jolly gathering.

| Sharon insists on having stockings for the two "children", who are now well into their thirties. They don't mind because there are always some surprises from our various exploits around the globe. |

| This
year Jay made a ginger-bread house. After struggling with hard dough and
runny frosting, he was able to put this fragile abode together for the
kids. It even included some carolers and Santa on ice-skates. |

| When the grand-kids arrived, it didn't take too long before the structural integrity of this contraption was somewhat altered. |

| There were real carolers with their own song and a rapt audience to listen and applaud. This was a big surprise for all. |

| Opa had organized a special treasure hunt and after the riches were found and shared, it was time for Santa's helper to sort out all those presents under the tree. And that is when the turmoil just started. Our living room will never be the same again. |

| Our poor Santa's helper only got a fist full from a feisty baby. After being passed around, the little one still ended up where she started from. |

| We saw two clowns, Opa with his new computer toys, Grandma B. with exotic goodies, happy kids with new toys, and Great Grandma with her new clock. Then it was time for dinner. |

| After the ham, scalloped corn, sweet potatoes and all the trimmings and pie, it was time to say good-night to Great Grandma and take her home. |

| The kids then settled down to watch some video. It had been a long and exciting day for all. And this was only the day before Christmas!!!! |
