Our most favorite place in California has always been Yosemite, a place with awe inspiring scenery, boisterous moments of thundering waterfalls, and peaceful settings of flowers and grazing deer. It is a place where you can take strenuous hikes to high vistas, climb rocks or sheer cliffs, or simply tour the valley by bus and do short walks to the falls and Mirror Lake. The photos on the following pages were taken during our various exploits of the valley and high country.         Click on any green box.

When not to see the falls
Winter of 2010 Snow in August?

Yosemite Valley has two wonderful seasons: spring and winter. Summer is too crowded; fall a bit dreary. However, summer and fall is when we want to see the high country! That is why I have split up the photos into the several sections shown above. But as we revisit Yosemite, I will add more sights and experiences. For example, May 2007 was a two day outing that resulted in some nice photographs.
